Increasing the Text Size
Please note that if you are using an up-to-date, modern web browser (such as Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer 7+) you should no longer need to resize the text of a webpage. Instead these browsers provide a full page zoom feature which is more reliable for scaling content for easier reading. Accessing this feature is usually achieved by holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and pressing the "+" or "-" buttons to zoom in and out. Alternatively you can hold Ctrl and use your mouse wheel to achieve the same effect. To reset the zoom level hold Ctrl and press "0" [zero] on your keyboard.
If you should require to increase the default text size on this webpage most modern browsers have a built in function which allows you to resize the text on any webpage. Below is a table which details the menu path to follow in order to resize the text in your browser. The "view" menu is located at the extreme top of your browsers window.
Browser | What to do |
---|---|
Internet Explorer 8 (PC) | Page > Zoom > Zoom In/Out |
Internet Explorer 7 (PC) | View > Text Size (or use full page zoom feature) |
Internet Explorer 5-6 (PC) | View > Text Size >Largest [or choose another size] |
Firefox 3+, Mozilla (PC) | View > Zoom > Zoom In/Out |
Safari and Omniweb (Mac) | View > Zoom In/Out |
Google Chrome | Control the current page > Zoom > Larger/Normal/Smaller |
Opera | View > Zoom > % |
