I've created my first OneSub Thread 💙 ✍️
I’ve just had a go at creating my first Thread and this is what I thought about it.
My OneSub Thread 💙
Have you had a chance to create a Thread yet? If not sign up here and have a go:
What's it all about? 🤔
OneSub Threads is where you can share articles or tweets to OneSub, add them to your own thread and highlight sections by quoting the important points. Think of it as micro-blogging, a place to collect your thoughts with article links and citations to back up your view.
My Thread: Can we tackle the UK obesity crisis?
I believe this is an important issue and am interested to see what the Government propose and whether they can have an impact as it has been a recurring issue in the UK which is steadily getting worse.
So why a Thread 🤔
I think it will be interesting to document what happens and that impact, especially as Henry Dimbleby, has released the first part of his National Food Strategy. I want to be able to see how the story evolves and if this Government can make any changes.
Clip. Thread. Share.
So I gathered a few articles that I have read and easily shared them with OneSub to retrieve, highlighted the quote from the article which I wanted and then added my comments. After you have added a few different articles with your comments it becomes a Thread which you can then share on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, or just simply share the URL as I have done here. (for more detail on how to create a Thread...take a look at this blog)
It is a simple method to document what is going on in a subject area that interests you. However, I did have a few feedback comments to the development team, such as having a pop up when comments are too long (I copied and pasted my comments so didn’t notice bits had been chopped off as I went over the word limit 🤦🏻♀️ )...and the ability to edit your Thread.
