A Ryanair flight from Thessaloniki to Memmingen has returned to Thessaloniki after a passenger window dislodged in flight. A 61-year-old Serbian man has friction burns and is being treated in hospital. Passengers were transported on a replacement aircraft to Germany.

How we got here
The incident occurred shortly after takeoff from Thessaloniki. Initial reports say a window detached after a piece of debris from the engine broke the window; authorities are investigating with North Macedonia cited as the point of occurrence. Ryanair has arranged a replacement aircraft to continue the journey to Memmingen.
