Bradford Scott Lander (born July 8, 1969) is an American politician and urban planner. A progressive Democrat, he served as the 45th New York City comptroller from 2022 until 2025, after serving on the New York City Council from 2010 to 2021, representing the 39th district, which is partly based in Brooklyn. Born in suburban St. Louis, Lander has pursued his political career in New York City since the 1990s, where he has become a mainstay in progressive activism.
