Games of the XX Olympiad, Munich 1972
Germany has named Munich as its Olympic bid city for the 2036 Games, with the DOSB moving to shortlist candidates after Berlin and Hamburg withdrawn. A referendum last year backed Munich’s bid. The IOC will decide the ultimate host in 2029.
