XXVI Olympic Winter Games in the French Alps, branded Alpes 2030
Beijing 2022 gold medallist Eve Muirhead has revoked her retirement and is returning to curling. She will partner Bobby Lammie in mixed doubles this season as British Curling targets Alpes 2030, after serving as Team GB’s chef de mission at Milan-Cortina 2026.
Edgar Grospiron has stepped down as president of the Alpes 2030 organising committee amid ongoing governance turmoil. The IOC says it will continue to work with the committee to build on foundations. Lyon remains the host for the 2030 Winter Games after Nice was dropped from hosting plans.
