Apple has announced the HomeView smart home hub and the iPhone Duo foldable, alongside updates to Mac and HomeKit devices. The devices are designed to deepen Apple’s domestic manufacturing push and expand its hardware ecosystem as Tim Cook’s successor, John Ternus, leads a fast-paced launch cadence.

The device features a titanium chassis and a 100+ part hinge, running a modified iOS 27. Pre-orders start October 16 in the UK, with prices ranging from £1,999 for 256GB to £3,199 for 2TB.
Apple is advancing its AI ambitions, with reports of an enterprise server in development and a redesigned Siri. The initiative aligns with growing demand for AI-ready hardware, while iOS 27 introduces an enhanced Siri that can access local data and is expanded to more languages.
A federal jury in California has ruled that Apple infringed two Taction Technology patents related to haptic feedback. The verdict comes after a long-running case that began in 2021 and was revived on appeal, with Apple planning to appeal the decision.
