Pero’s Bridge in Bristol Harbour has collapsed after a previous lifting failure. A repair plan of £1.54m is due to start in November. No injuries are reported as four large rubber fenders are placed to stabilise the structure before removal. The council rules out a temporary footbridge due to cost, with full service restoration targeted for summer 2027.
