The US Treasury has designated Palestine Action as a specially designated global terrorist organisation and has frozen any assets in the United States, banning Americans and US entities from dealing with it. The move follows the UKproscription in July 2025 and comes alongside US sanctions on other far-left networks and an Italy-based digital collective.
Sally Rooney has agreed with publisher Faber that her books will no longer be supplied in the UK because current UK terrorism legislation has made it impossible for the publisher to pass UK earnings to her after she pledged to fund Palestine Action. E‑books have been removed; some physical stock remains. The Supreme Court will hear an appeal next month.
