California Governor has signed a law naming May 17 Bruce Lee Day, commemorating the 1959 return of Bruce Lee to San Francisco. The law honors Lee as a cultural bridge, with families and Asian American organizations planning annual events and classroom lessons. Lee’s daughter Shannon Lee says the designation reflects his enduring legacy.
