Eight-year-old Lamar McGlothurn was killed when a branch fell at Camp Wildcraft in King Gillette Ranch, Calabasas, in July 2025. The MRCA has reached settlements totaling about $20.3 million with Lamar’s family and other claimants after evidence showed park officials were aware of the tree’s dangerous condition.
