Hackers have targeted connected refrigeration systems at hundreds of supermarkets in France, forcing freezers to warm to as high as 50°C, spoiling stock and sparking fires. Authorities have opened a probe and France's cybersecurity agency ANSSI is investigating a Danfoss software vulnerability while retailers discard affected fresh and frozen food.
