Alabama county in the center of Selma, named for Treasury Secretary Alexander Dallas
The state has carried out the execution of 49-year-old Jeffery Lee at William C. Holman Correctional Facility. Lee was convicted in a 1998 double-matal murder during a Dallas County pawn shop robbery. The justice system has moved from nitrogen gas to lethal injection after a last-minute reprieve. Authorities say his victims’ families have long awaited closure.
