Sky Group’s chief executive Dana Strong has steered the UK broadcaster since 2021. Previously, she led consumer services at Comcast and held roles across Liberty Global.
Sky will acquire ITV’s media and entertainment division for 1.2 billion in cash, with up to 200 million more tied to ad performance. ITV receives Love Productions (The Great British Bake Off) for 200 million and a potential 200 million contingent payment. The deal does not include ITV Studios, ITV’s production arm, and is expected to complete in H2 2027, subject to regulators. ITV will remain a public service broadcaster until 2034, with Sky committing to its licence obligations.
