Construction workers in Sint-Gillis-Dendermonde have uncovered a gold hoard worth about €9m (€9m) sealed in a cellar wall during a sewer-laying project. The treasure has been moved to a secure facility as authorities review ownership, with Belgian law allowing the finder and property owner to claim if no owner comes forward within five years.
