Territorial police force for Dorset, South West England
A British man from Bournemouth has been arrested in Quito, Ecuador, on suspicion of beating Natalia Villalba to death in Bogote1 on 18 June and concealing her body in a suitcase. An Interpol Red Notice had been issued and Dorset Police assisted in locating him.
A Scottish High Court has sentenced Calvin Mitchell to extended supervision for three years after convicting him of 14 offences, including six rapes, in a case spanning 2018-2022. The judge described the victims’ suffering as horrific and noted the offender’s limited remorse and insight. Mitchell remains on the sex offenders register for life and faces non-harassment orders.
