Dschang is a Cameroonian city in the West Province. It has grown from 21,705 residents in 1981 to about 87,000 in 2001, with the 2006 estimate at around 200,000.
Cameroon’s 93-year-old president has left for what officials call a brief private stay in Europe and has not returned. Critics say the absence raises questions about governance amid constitutional limits, military challenges, and protests following the 2025 reelection.
