Hundreds of students have attacked Albania’s Education Ministry, throwing bricks and concrete blocks after nationwide demonstrations over university conditions, rising costs and poor job prospects. Security forces have used tear gas and water cannon; police have detained and arrested protesters and said officers and a journalist were injured.
