Irish road racing cyclist for Team Jayco–AlUla
Tadej Pogacar has suffered a concussion and a displaced left clavicle fracture after a crash in the Vuelta a Espana. He will require surgery on the clavicle, but concussion precautions delay the procedure. He has left the race after a heavy fall, ending his bid for a third Grand Tour title.
Enric Mas has secured his first Grand Tour win at the Vuelta a España, finishing 2:15 ahead of Primoz Roglič after Pogacar crashed on stage eight. Tobias Johannessen wins the final stage in Granada, with Mas extending his lead on the mountain-heavy route. The Movistar rider crosses the line with team-mates beside him as the final GC is decided.
