Edinburgh’s 18.5-km modern tram network
More than 80 firefighters and about 30 trucks have contained a fire at a single building on Victoria Street, Richmond. The blaze affected adjacent shopfronts; the premises was unoccupied. Edinburgh’s historic North Bridge has fully reopened to traffic and pedestrians after an eight-year restoration. The project restored steelwork, hand-finished the façade, and installed ongoing monitoring access. Final completion is announced for later this year as council projects continue.
