Brazilian entrepreneur and co-founder of Facebook, now co-CEO of B Capital
Fenway Sports Group has sold roughly 30–33% of Liverpool Football Club to 1892 Holdings, a consortium led by Amit Bhatia that includes Jeff Bezos (via K5 Sports), Eduardo Saverinand the Mittal family. FSG has retained majority ownership and operational control; Bhatia will become vice chairman and two consortium representatives will join the board. Regulatory approval is pending.
Arsenal have begun the season with a string of wins, including a hard-fought Champions League victory over Napoli decided late by Martin Odegaard, and sit among early title favourites. Manchester United have opened their Champions League campaign with a 4-0 win at Old Trafford, while Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have also taken strong early European results.
Liverpool has secured a five-year shirt sponsorship with Turkish Airlines from June 2027, replacing Standard Chartered. The deal, worth in excess of £60 million per season, makes Turkish Airlines the main club partner on the front of shirts for men’s, women’s and academy teams, with Standard Chartered moving to global partner status. The deal is set to be one of the most lucrative in Premier League history.
