Separately, General Mills has recalled Pillsbury roll doughs for potential glass contamination, and Midwest Poultry Services has halted shipments as nearly 1.6 million dozen eggs are recalled over Salmonella fears. No illnesses are confirmed yet.
The multistate Salmonella Javiana outbreak has been traced to jalapeño peppers from Sinaloa, Mexico, distributed by Coast Citrus Distributors. The outbreak spans 27 states with 345 infections and 36 hospitalizations; Chipotle and Qdoba have removed the peppers from affected restaurants.
