Elfyn Evans has won the World Rally Championship, becoming Britain’s third champion after a final-stage crash by Oliver Solberg left Evans with enough points to clinch the title. Solberg crashed two corners from the finish, handing Evans the crown in a season shortened by the Saudi finale cancellation.
The FIA has cancelled the Rally Saudi Arabia leg of the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship due to ongoing regional unrest. The finale will shift to Rally Italia Sardegna (Oct 1-4) as the season's final round, with Elfyn Evans leading the standings. Saudi Arabia will still host the Middle East Rally Championship this year.
