German actress, multilingual star of 1960s–70s cinema
German-born actress Elke Sommer has died at age 85 in Bel Air, Los Angeles. Her Hollywood breakthrough came with The Prize, and she later starred in The Pink Panther sequel A Shot in the Dark. Sommer also pursued painting and endured a famous defamation case with Zsa Zsa Gabor.
