British rider Finlay Tarling of NSN Development Team has died after a serious accident on the Volta a Portugal stage between Melgaco and Fafe. The eighth stage was neutralised and the podium ceremony cancelled as a mark of mourning. Tarling, a Welsh time-trial specialist and younger brother of Josh Tarling, has been widely mourned by his team and fans.
