Prosecutors in Belgium have detained a 52-year-old Beijing-born man as part of an investigation into possible industrial espionage linked to gallium nitride semiconductor technology. The suspect, who holds Belgian nationality, was arrested in Brussels on May 10 while about to fly to Beijing. Belgian authorities say the probe also involves a second suspect and a wider network connected to a Chinese firm; materials and devices have been seized for analysis.
