Israeli forces have captured Beaufort Castle and surrounding high ground in southern Lebanon, advancing their deepest into Lebanon since 2000. The incident disrupted a Gaza rotation, with several soldiers later returning and others facing disciplinary action, including prison terms and removal from combat duty.
