Scottish snooker player and world champion, now in the news for a criminal conviction
A former world snooker champion has been convicted of lewd, indecent and libidinous behavior toward two children. A jury found him guilty in a five-day trial; a backdated seven-year sentence has been imposed, and his name has been added to the sex offenders register.
Graeme Dott has been found guilty of two counts of lewd, indecent and libidinous behaviour toward a girl and a boy, with sentencing set for September. World Snooker has revoked his membership and he faces removal from Hall of Fame.
