Heritage Auctions’ Hollywood & Entertainment Signature Auction has seen iconic pieces—from Star Wars’ Luke Skywalker lightsaber to Willy Wonka’s top hat—fetch records, underscoring fans’ willingness to pay for film history.
Heritage Auctions will sell more than two dozen Star Wars props, including Darth Vader’s carbon-lamp saber used in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Items are expected to fetch seven-figure sums for the Vader saber and higher values for other relics such as Luke Skywalker’s severed-hand prop and a Boba Fett blaster.
