Hong Kong’s Dow Jones Publishing Co. (Asia) Inc. has been acquitted of dismissing a journalist for union activity, with the court finding insufficient proof on a second charge. Selina Cheng, former WSJ reporter and HKJA chair, launched a private prosecution after her 2024 dismissal amid a broader crackdown on press freedom in the city.
