Smart speaker series by Apple, tied to Apple Music
Major device makers have raised prices and warned consumers after memory and storage costs have surged because AI data‑centre buildouts are buying up DRAM and flash. Apple has increased Mac and iPad prices; Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo have signalled or implemented console and hardware hikes. Analysts say shortages will persist into 2027.
Apple has unveiled the iPhone Duo, a passport-sized foldable that opens to a 7.6-inch horizontal display and runs new A20-class hardware and on-device Apple Intelligence. CEO John Ternus has positioned the Duo as a productivity device; preorders start Sept. 12, iPhone 18 Pro models ship Sept. 18 and the Duo will be available Oct. 23.
