Identity tech firm at the crossroads of security and biometric identification
New Jersey has identified that about 6,600 people who indicated they were not U.S. citizens were automatically registered to vote between June 2023 and June 2024. Fewer than 400 of those individuals are confirmed to have cast ballots. The governor has ordered removal of erroneous registrations and a vendor replacement, while investigations are launched and a federal probe is ongoing.
