Bob Iger and Josh Kushner have agreed to buy majority control of the Los Angeles Lakers from Mark Walter in a deal valuing the team at about $12.5bn, multiple outlets report on 12 August 2026. The sale follows Walter's 2025 purchase and still requires NBA Board of Governors approval next month.
