An inland east China province with a historic revolutionary role
Typhoon Dolphin has weakened inland but continues to cause extreme rainfall and floods across Zhejiang, Shanghai and Fujian. Authorities have evacuated hundreds of thousands, canceled thousands of flights, and closed major attractions as the storm moves westward.

Authorities say the event prompted mass evacuations, with thousands relocated amid ongoing rainfall from Saudel, which has already made multiple landfalls in nearby provinces.
Heavy rains triggered by Typhoon Saudel have killed at least 14 people across three towns in Suichuan County, Jiangxi, with a mudslide in Gaoping town accounting for most fatalities. Over 18,000 residents have been evacuated. Additional deaths have occurred in Hunan province as the storm stalks inland after making landfall along Zhejiang and Fujian.
