Nepalese town and gateway to the Everest region
Two small helicopters collided while landing near Everest’s base region in Solukhumbu, Nepal. A 47-year-old Indian tourist died; a New Zealand passenger and a Nepali pilot were injured. Helicopters were carrying trekkers and cargo during Nepal’s busy trekking season. Both pilots survived.
