Crews in St. Mary’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, are draining about 110 tanks of fermented fish sauce left behind by the Atlantic Seafood Sauce Company, in a $1.7 million cleanup that will absorb liquid with peat moss and transport it to a lined disposal pit. The town has fought for provincial support after decades of neglect.
