Scottish health board serving Fife
Sandie Peggie has begun a new tribunal against the Royal College of Nursing, alleging the union failed to provide adequate support during her earlier case against NHS Fife over a transgender colleague in a women’s changing room. The dispute follows a December 2025 tribunal that found NHS Fife harassed Peggie but dismissed discrimination and victimisation claims. The latest proceedings hinge on alleged union discrimination tied to Peggie’s gender-critical beliefs. The case is expected to run into 2027.
Two UK NHS harassment cases have progressed on appeal and tribunal rulings.
