King Harald V has died at Oslo University Hospital at 06:35 on Friday, Aug. 28, aged 89. His son, Crown Prince Haakon, has become King Haakon VIII and has given a televised address. Norway has declared a period of national mourning; tens of thousands have laid flowers at the Royal Palace and the new king will take the oath before parliament on Tuesday.
