Chinese regulators have ordered recalls affecting more than 4 million electric vehicles after tests found electronically operated, hidden door handles can fail after severe collisions. Tesla has accounted for roughly 2.98 million affected Model 3, Y, S and X cars in China and will push software updates and add warning labels. Nine other automakers, including Xiaomi, XPeng and Geely, are also recalling vehicles.
