Yvonne Ford, 59, from Barnsley, died in June 2025 from rabies after being scratched by a stray dog in Morocco in February. Her family, who wore PPE during her final days, urge awareness of rabies risks and prompt medical treatment after animal bites abroad. The disease is 100% fatal once symptoms appear.
