The pygmy hippo Gloria has given birth to a calf on July 31. The calf is bonding with its mother away from public view as keepers monitor health; gender will be confirmed after checks. Gloria has previously birthed Haggis, the internet-famous hippo. Public debut is expected soon as routines for privacy continue.
