Lewis Hamilton has claimed a breakthrough win at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, ending a 41-race drought and signalling a rebound with Ferrari. Teammate Kimi Antonelli suffers an electrical failure while pushing for a second-place finish, and George Russell secures pole but stalls in race troubles for Mercedes. The results lift Hamilton toward the drivers’ standings as Antonelli leads the championship.
Races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia were cancelled earlier this year due to regional conflict. With the calendar tight, F1 is considering Sepang in Malaysia to host a double-trace schedule in late September to early October, effectively substituting a Bahrain date and linking Asia and Europe before Singapore. The Bahrain event would be branded as Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia for contractual reasons.
Lando Norris has co-founded LN4 Fusion to run a pathway for young drivers through F3, Italian F4 and the Formula Regional European Championship, with plans to enter Formula 2 in the future. He will remain closely involved and has also launched the LN4 Legacy Programme to back talented, underfunded juniors.
