Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides mental health, learning disability, and community services across Surrey. It is currently expanding preventive care by participating in a UK NHS Alzheimer’s trial for at-risk, asymptomatic individuals.
The UK trial is testing Trontinemab in 55–80-year-olds with high p-tau217 levels to see if dementia can be delayed or prevented. About 1,600 participants globally will be recruited over four to six years, with initial screening beginning this week at the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
