A 24-hour, 115-station main-line route across southern England
A large fire at a Bermondsey recycling centre has drawn around 100 firefighters and more than 15 engines. Local residents are advised to keep doors and windows shut as smoke blankets parts of south London. Rail services are disrupted and authorities say the fire is under investigation.
Two southbound East Midlands Railway services have collided south of Bedford at about 5:15pm on 19 June 2026. Emergency services have declared a major incident; one person has died at the scene. The East of England Ambulance Service has reported 11 very serious injuries, 22 serious injuries and 56 minor injuries.
