Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Heritage Auctions’ Hollywood & Entertainment Signature Auction has seen iconic pieces—from Star Wars’ Luke Skywalker lightsaber to Willy Wonka’s top hat—fetch records, underscoring fans’ willingness to pay for film history.
The Welsh-language version of Star Wars: A New Hope has been announced for Christmas Day release on S4C, featuring a cast of Welsh actors and produced with Lucasfilm and Disney. The project marks a milestone for Welsh-language media, aligning with Wales' cultural sectors and 50th-anniversary celebrations.
Heritage Auctions will sell more than two dozen Star Wars props, including Darth Vader’s carbon-lamp saber used in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Items are expected to fetch seven-figure sums for the Vader saber and higher values for other relics such as Luke Skywalker’s severed-hand prop and a Boba Fett blaster.
