Nuclear plant with a storied safety legacy
Finland is expanding its AI data-center infrastructure with Google investments and nuclear-backed power. The Department of Energy has begun lending up to $4.4 billion to restart three decommissioned U.S. nuclear plants—Palisades (Michigan), Three Mile Island (Pennsylvania), and Duane Arnold (Iowa)—to restore about 2.25 gigawatts of power.
