English goalkeeper with club and country duties
Karl Darlow has joined Manchester United on a two-year contract with an option for a third, serving as Senne Lammens’ back-up. The 35-year-old Wales international has left Leeds United after his contract expired and is set to bolster United’s goalkeeping options ahead of the new season.
The Belgian goalkeeper has spilled a 25-yard shot late in a World Cup quarter-final, allowing Merino to score for Spain. Lammens is receiving backing from Manchester United teammates and staff, who say the setback will strengthen him for the season ahead.
Barcelona have strengthened midfield and attack this summer but lack an established number nine. Rodri has joined City, Gordon and Adeyemi add pace, while Alvarez eye remains a potential move; Barça face decision as window closes.
