A wave of safety recalls has affected vehicles, ladders, refrigerators and trucks, impacting hundreds of thousands of consumers. Toyota recalls 655,000 vehicles for a faulty 7-inch display; Ram 1500 seat belt anchors are under scrutiny; attic ladders face bolt-break risks; Galanz refrigerators pose fire hazards. Notifications begin this week with free repairs and updates.
A global recall affects 508,354 model year 2025-2026 Toyota Camry Hybrids with 7-inch displays in LE, SE and Nightshade trims. The issue can blank the display at startup, disabling turn signals, hazard lights and warning buzzers, potentially increasing crash risk. Toyota will offer a free software update; owner notifications begin Sept. 21 and run through early October.
