Trent Williams is an NFL offensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers. A durable lineman from Oklahoma, he has developed into a cornerstone blocker in San Francisco.
The 49ers have trimmed to a 53-man roster ahead of their season opener in Australia against the Rams. They trade for veteran interior lineman Jarrett Patterson, add depth at guard and center, and place several players on IR or PUP as they prepare for Week 1.
Drake Maye has handed the New England Patriots a brutal reminder of a rough start to the season, following a 35-6 loss to Jacksonville. He has thrown two interceptions, fumbled twice, and benched in the fourth quarter as the team struggles with injuries, a porous run game, and questions about leadership. The Patriots head to Buffalo next, aiming to rebound.
