Ring has announced a new encryption standard called TAKE that temporarily decrypts videos in the cloud to enable features like Smart Alerts, with encryption keys deleted within 24 hours. Users can still opt for end-to-end encryption. TAKE will roll out globally from September, while familiar faces facial recognition and related concerns persist.
